I have not regretted this decision at all-this is a great beginners set! My consistency has dramatically improved I'm not sure if I was just using clubs that were the wrong size, or if this set is more forgiving, but with the irons in this set I'm hitting the ball much better. Overall the price was about the same, so I decided to go for this set here since it has more clubs and the bag. When I finally decided to start playing golf regularly, I was choosing between getting a few (3 wood, 4 iron, 6 iron, 8 iron, wedge, putter) used name-brand clubs from or get a starter set. I've never owned my own golf set, and I used to go to the driving range and borrow a friend's clubs or borrow clubs from the range. I went to the range with my friend who has a set of Ping irons and Taylor-Made woods he also thought the Top-Flite XL set was solid quality and worth the buy. The golf-bag straps are comfortable, and can be worn in a backpack fashion, or just thrown over the shoulder a hand strap is also on the side of the bag. The golf bag is sturdy and has plenty of pockets and room for clubs. The putter is slightly funky looking, but not in a bad way, and it seems to be well designed. The club grips may not be the best out there, but they work just fine.
